Paper making has a long tradition at Voith. As early as 1859, Johann Matthäus Voith built the first wood grinder for the production of paper from wood fibre. The company focuses on solutions for an efficient, resource-sparing paper production. Using new processes and concepts, Voith is working intensively on the paper production of the future. The company is a pioneer in waste paper preparation. After developing the technology decades ago, Voith was the first to make the production of paper from waste paper actually possible. Since then, Voith engineers have continually improved and refined the process.
