Mikhail Tarasov is IKEA Global Forestry Manager. He is leading the forestry agenda alongside IKEA ambition to become forest positive.

He is working with the team of 40 forestry specialists, as well as purchasing teams and business partners across the world to secure compliance with IKEA forestry requirements and drive forestry agenda. He is also managing IKEA forestry partnership with WWF and other global and regional partners to promote sustainable forest management and generate positive impact beyond IKEA own supply chain.

Before his current role, Mikhail was leading IKEA forestry agenda in the Asia Pacific.

Mikhail has over twenty years of experience with forest industry, sustainable forest management and supply chain across the world.

He also holds a PhD in forest ecology.
